Working Machines is an application layer for agents, not another assistant interface. A compatible agent connects through MCP or an API, describes the capability it needs, and discovers a bounded set of structured actions. That keeps tool selection focused while allowing the same agent to work across email, source control, issue tracking, CRM, documents, communications, commerce, analytics, and cloud systems.

When an action requires access to a provider, the user authorizes the relevant account through Working Machines. Provider credentials remain behind the runtime boundary; they are not inserted into the MCP configuration. Tool inputs and returned provider data can still enter the active agent context, so the user and agent must minimize sensitive data and avoid moving it between services without authorization.

The safe execution sequence is discover, inspect, connect, act, and verify. Read-only discovery is not permission to write. Financial, destructive, externally visible, or difficult-to-reverse actions require confirmation at the point of execution. A final answer should rely on structured provider results and clearly distinguish successful actions from rejected, skipped, or failed work.
