CAPABILITY PROFILE

What the Cloudinary integration exposes

The Cloudinary Agent App exposes 5 provider-backed actions for design & media and storage work. Its current contract lets an authorized agent fetch one cloudinary asset by immutable asset id and return the normalized asset record, update selected mutable fields of one uploaded cloudinary asset by public id using the explicit api, and rename one uploaded cloudinary asset by changing its public id and return the normalized asset record. These operations are called through Working Machines as typed capabilities rather than through browser navigation or copied UI steps.

A connection uses API key. Before execution, the agent can inspect the selected action, its required fields, declared scopes, and expected output contract. Provider credentials remain inside the Working Machines runtime; the calling agent receives the capability and its structured result, not the underlying secret.

For reliable operation, start with the narrowest action that satisfies the task, resolve stable provider identifiers before changing state, and validate the returned object or status after execution. Availability still depends on the connected Cloudinary account, granted provider permissions, workspace policy, region, plan, and upstream API behavior.

VERIFIED ACTION SAMPLE

Real Cloudinary capabilities.

Showing 5 of 5 actions. Risk labels are conservative signals based on operation names, not substitutes for provider documentation or runtime policy.

get_assetREAD

Fetch one Cloudinary asset by immutable asset ID and return the normalized asset record.

INPUTS: assetId

update_assetWRITE

Update selected mutable fields of one uploaded Cloudinary asset by public ID using the explicit API.

INPUTS: resourceType / publicId / displayName / assetFolder / tags

rename_assetREVIEW

Rename one uploaded Cloudinary asset by changing its public ID and return the normalized asset record.

INPUTS: resourceType / fromPublicId / toPublicId

list_assetsREAD

List uploaded Cloudinary assets of one resource type with optional prefix filtering and cursor pagination.

INPUTS: resourceType / prefix / maxResults / nextCursor / direction

upload_assetWRITE

Upload one asset to Cloudinary from a remote URL or Data URI and return the normalized uploaded asset record.

INPUTS: resourceType / fileUrl / fileDataUri / publicId / displayName

INPUT CONTRACTS

Know what the action needs before it runs.

get_asset

assetIdREQUIRED
The immutable Cloudinary asset ID.

update_asset

resourceTypeOPTIONAL
The Cloudinary resource type for the asset.
publicIdREQUIRED
The public ID of the uploaded asset to update.
displayNameOPTIONAL
The replacement display name for the uploaded asset.
assetFolderOPTIONAL
The replacement asset folder for the uploaded asset.
tagsOPTIONAL
The list of tags to send to Cloudinary.

rename_asset

resourceTypeOPTIONAL
The Cloudinary resource type for the asset.
fromPublicIdREQUIRED
The current public ID of the uploaded asset.
toPublicIdREQUIRED
The replacement public ID for the uploaded asset.

list_assets

resourceTypeOPTIONAL
The Cloudinary resource type for the asset.
prefixOPTIONAL
Only list uploaded assets whose public IDs start with this prefix.
maxResultsOPTIONAL
The maximum number of uploaded assets to return.
nextCursorOPTIONAL
The pagination cursor returned by the previous list request.
directionOPTIONAL
The created_at sort direction for uploaded assets.

PROVIDER-SPECIFIC WORKFLOWS

Jobs this Agent App can support

Inspect Get Asset

Fetch one Cloudinary asset by immutable asset ID and return the normalized asset record. Use this as a bounded discovery step, retain the returned identifier, and avoid expanding the read beyond the task's stated scope.

get_asset

Control Update Asset

Update selected mutable fields of one uploaded Cloudinary asset by public ID using the explicit API. Resolve the target first, present material changes for confirmation, and make retries idempotent where the provider supports it.

update_asset

Verify with List Assets

List uploaded Cloudinary assets of one resource type with optional prefix filtering and cursor pagination. Compare the returned provider state with the intended outcome and preserve stable IDs or canonical links in the run record.

list_assets

SAFETY BOUNDARY

Operate Cloudinary with explicit limits

  • Authorize Cloudinary with API key and grant only the provider access required by the selected actions.
  • 2 actions are change-capable by name. Confirm the target identity and material parameters before allowing a write.
  • Do not infer permission from catalog visibility. Workspace policy, connection identity, and upstream authorization still govern execution.
  • No provider scope string is declared on the sampled actions. Verify the connected account's actual permissions in Cloudinary rather than assuming unrestricted access.
  • After a call, inspect the structured result and execution record before reporting that the Cloudinary task completed successfully.

CONNECTION MODEL

API key

Cloudinary API key used with HTTP Basic authentication for Upload API and Admin API requests. Find it in Cloudinary Console Settings > API Keys: https://console.cloudinary.com/app/settings/api-keys .

Working Machines stores provider credentials behind the execution boundary. An agent can use an authorized connection identity, but catalog discovery alone does not reveal OAuth tokens, API keys, or provider secrets.

EVIDENCE AND AVAILABILITY

Provider reference

Action names, input fields, authentication types, and counts on this page are generated from the Working Machines provider catalog. Provider behavior, quotas, object semantics, account eligibility, and regional availability remain governed by Cloudinary.
